We also offer tailor-made Japanese cooking courses for those looking to improve a specific element of their Japanese cooking technique, and are great at handling corporate events!

Learn how to make colourful fusion sushi canapés and traditional temari sushi, originated from Kyoto.

The class includes step-by-step demonstration on how to make sushi rice and tips on choosing the correct ingredients for sushi making. This course is hands-on so you can practice making your own sushi canapés and create a bento box full of fancy party sushi. There will be enough sushi to snack and green tea or Gekkeikan Sake to savour, so please arrive with an empty stomach!

Session will end with a brief tour at umai by Japan Centre, where the instructor will go through each ingredient used in class, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have on Japanese cooking.
